Late 19th century original Art Nouveau brass photograph frame
A sublime original late 1800s- early 1900s Art Nouveau brass photograph frame.
With a lady in a voluptuous dress, with dropping flowers in dream like scale to her adorns this organically flowing, sinuous frame. A piece of art in itself, reminiscent of the metal panels surrounding Hector Guimard’s Paris metro stations.
Sized for standard 6″ X 4″ photographs, this lovely frame comes with a piece of hardboard held in with a label holder and a piece of curved brass pipe with a rubber tip to stop it sliding as a stand. There is a little crack in the part of the pipe stand where it is screwed in. There is some wear to the lady’s nose also.
The frame has a piece of glass to protect and hold in your photo. This is shown in the last photo only.
An old black and white photograph of an older couple dancing (shown in images) is included – perfect for set dressing.
The external measurements are 25cm X 15cm.
