Antique French early 20th century wooden faux bamboo rectangular wall mirror

A wonderful antique French early 20th century wooden faux-bamboo framed wall mirror, with its original plate.

Typical of the Orient-inspired style favoured from the late 19th century and into the early 20th, the faux-bamboo shaped frame was a popular look in the period. The original backing is also still in place.

Of good proportions as a hallway mirror, or great in the bathroom or the bedroom. It would also look great placed on a dressing table leaning against the wall.

It can of course be used horizontally or vertically to suit your space, but it is currently (and originally) strung to hang horizontally. A previous owner has later added a string. A new, strong hanging wire has been attached to the hooks.

It measures 64cm X 47cm. The visible glass plate is 42.5cm X 28cm.
