Collection of three antique copper jelly or blancmange moulds
A wonderful set of three antique copper jelly or blancmange moulds.
The centerpiece is a wonderful large round mould, with geometric shapes within its form.
To its flanks are a matching pair featuring fruit and leaves, with curved fluting surrounding the perimeter.
Please note the copper tone and how it varies across the photos depending on the nature of the light.
The copper on these could be polished to a bright shine, but personally I prefer the aged patina that can only form over a number of decades and cannot be added back on later. I’ve therefore left them in their original, untouched state.
They all have round hanging hoops to the top for wall mounting, and their weight is such that a nail in the wall will be plenty to hold each mould.
The round mould measures 23.5cm in diameter X 10cm deep; the oval matching pair both measure 24cm wide X 6cm deep.
