Midcentury large educational posters of wild flowers and plants – available with or without bespoke wooden frames

A selection of six large vintage midcentury educational posters of wild flowers and plants.

From a set of beautiful circa 1950s posters on thick matte paper, each is full of a selection of wildflowers and plants, each specimen immaculately drawn, coloured and titled in an attractive and clear midcentury typeface.

Titles of the posters include ‘Miscellaneous Families II, III, V, VI & VII’, ‘Daisy Family I, II & III’, ‘Forget me not and parsley family, ‘Pink and Cranesbill family’, ‘Buttercup family’, ‘Pea family’, ‘Wallflower and Primrose families’, ‘Miscellaneous flowers IV’, ‘Parts of Trees I, III & IV’, ‘Plate 61 Trees I’, ‘Plate 62 Trees II’, ‘Mint Family’, and ‘Figwort Family’.

Please see also my other vintage educational posters.

Frames:

Available to buy as they come or with bespoke solid wood frames in three types: chamfered redwood, oak or pine. These are handmade and function through the use of magnetic strips, meaning no breakable glass or reflective surface to distract from the picture. Each frame has a brass hook fitted in the centre of the reverse so that it will balance straight on just one screw. Please see the group photos of the different frames available to be made to order. Please note the unseen reverse of all the frames are made with pine. The titles to the top of the posters are not fully visible if the frames are placed to securely hold the poster.

First select the poster(s) you’d like from the drop down menu – please note the title in the top centre of each poster – then add the frame type you’d like (or unframed if you’d like to source your own frame). Please be sure to enter no more than one under quantity, as there is only one of each. If you’d l;ike more than one poster, add each poster one at a time to your cart, first selecting poster name and choice of frame.

The posters all measure 53.2cm wide X 43cm tall.

The frames are identical widths to the posters. The different woods measure different heights: Chamfered Redwood 27mm / Oak 21mm / Pine 25mm.

Posters and frames will be sent in sturdy cardboard tubes.

Lovely vintage shop with outstanding customer service!! When I fall in love with this Victorian table I was not in the position to receive the delivery right away due to house move. Tim kindly agreed to store it for me until I was ready. Cannot recommend it enough!!! Thank you for my lovely addition to my home.

I absolutely love this site. Last year I bought a dansette record player and recently bought a vintage butterfly table. The delivery was very quick and very well packed so no chance of breakages. Both items were exactly as described and as in the pictures. If you want anything vintage or a bit different this is the place to shop and every item comes with a personal note.I will be using this site for many years to come. Thank you Tim for giving me so much pleasure with my purchases. X

Lovely vintage biscuit barrel in great condition. Solid, clean, and handy for storing the little bits and pieces that usually clutter up my bedside table. A bargain at the price, and delivery was super quick.

Found a wonderful cabinet via Etsy and was signposted to the Oaky Doke Vintage Home website for the best price! Very impressed with the excellent customer service, attention to detail and care shown by Tim, who helped arrange a courier with a very reasonable price for me, coming all of the way to Scotland! Communication throughout excellent. Delighted with the quality of the cabinet, it's unusual aesthetic and multi-function use. Just perfect for helping solve the storage issues in our wee flat! A very happy customer and would highly recommend Tim's vintage business. I'll certainly be browsing the website in future for future finds. Thanks so much Tim!

Fantastic! The phone we purchased circa 1930s is the perfect addition to our recent home purchase that was built in the 30s! The home came with a place where phones like these would have been and it looks great! Tim, thanks for a wonderful purchasing experience and I’m sure I will be back to find my next vintage item!
