French double-sided 1950s school poster, Camping and Winter

A very attractive, large, double-sided midcentury French educational poster.

‘Le Camping’ features a busy mountain scene with a campsite and lots going on, with a river running through. A joyful and relaxing picture.

To the reverse, ‘L’hiver’ shows an old winter scene with snow and ice and plenty of shenanigans and classroom talking points.

Originally distributed by Libraries Hachette on Boulevard St Germain in Paris, these would have been printed and used in a French school around the 1950s. There are some creases in the poster from age and use.

The wooden frame pieces shown in some photos can be included for an additional cost, selectable in the drop down menu at the top of the listing.

These are made from strips of chamfered oak to the front (pine to the reverse) and magnetic strips holding front and back together with the poster in between. A brass hook will be included to the reverse of the top.

The large poster measures 100cm wide X 65cm.
