A very well made metal sculpture by Ron Lyon, probably in the 1980s. A few similar examples exist in a shiny metal, but having rusted over the decades, this piece has a uniquely rusted surface giving it a timeless and gothic atmosphere.
I discovered this sculpture standing in a window, the dark clouds behind it, the face in shadow until I got close, great arms aloft. This is a great way of displaying it.
Measures 49cm tall X 47cm wingspan X 18cm base diameter.
