Antique cast iron set of cobbler’s lasts and stand

An attractive early 1900s set of cobbler’s shoe lasts and stand, with impressive and sculptural form which can be arranged in infinite formations.

A very tactile set of cast iron, the lasts themselves are not rare but a set, with their original stand into which any of the shoes can be inserted.

Originally a cobbler would have used the various ‘shoes’ to place an appropriate sized shoe over and hammered on the sole.

An unusual and attractive piece of sculptural industrial history for the home.

The stand measures 11cm in diameter X 7cm tall. The shoes measure 24/18/14.5/12.5cm toe to heel X 15/14/12.5/11.5cm tall.
