A gorgeous, round, Barbola dressing table mirror or hanging wall mirror.
With a frame of the distinctive Barbola painted plaster of Paris flowers and other natural elements.
Unlike most Barbolas, the decoration surrounds the entire circumference of the mirror and not just a band at the top.
Despite the Italian sounding name, Barbola mirrors were English and made between 1920s-40s.
It has a standing flap which can be clipped in place for a dressing table or sideboard. It can also be unclipped and hung on its original hook on a screw in your wall.
There are parts of plaster decoration which have been lost over the past 8 or 9 decades, please see photos and zoom in.
A great look for any style of home.
