Beautiful 1900s Art Deco brass and oak magazine rack / record rack

A wonderful antique oak and brass Art Deco era magazine rack, with great brass hoops to separate the sections on a deep oak plinth.

It is stamped beneath the base and although not a clear stamp, is thought to be William Tonks & Sons of Birmingham, who made many styles of magazine rack in this fashion from the late 19th century.

Beautiful enough to look at purely as a sculptural work of ‘art’, and a gorgeous magazine rack, or if you prefer, a display rack in which to store a selection of your favourite records.

Patina on the brass, as to be expected with something of this vintage and in very good condition all round, a very sturdy piece.

Measures 36cm wide X 18cm deep X 34cm tall.
