Huge Blue West German Midcentury ‘Amsterdam’ Vase by Oswald Kleudgen
A fantastic, very large midcentury vase with handle by the famous Bavarian maker Scheurich, West Germany from the 1970s.
The vase is in excellent condition all around.
In blue and black mottled tones with wavy cusps throughout the body. The pattern is known as ‘Amsterdam’ or the onion pattern. It was designed by Oswald Kleudgen in 1972.
Due to the scale, this size is often considered to be a floor vase.
The design number, as shown in the photo, is 485-45. ‘W. Germany’ is also stamped beneath.
