West German midcentury Scheurich Keramik fat lava handled vase
A classic midcentury medium-large midcentury handled vase by the famous Bavarian maker Scheurich, West Germany from the 1960s.
The excellent brown colourway with white ‘lava’ like horizontal bands.
This piece unusually, still bears its original sticker on its neck. This particular sticker was in use between 1968-1980, so this piece may have been produced in the earlier part of the ’70s.
The design number, as shown in the photo, is 407-33. ‘W. Germany’ is also stamped beneath.
The dimensions are: 35.5cm tall X 15cm in diameter. The opening is 7cm.
