Vintage brass candy mould with lid
A very attractive vintage mould of very heavy brass.
With two hoop handles each side and a heavy lid, this has 12 differently patterned moulds of birds, flowers, fish and leaves.
This could be for candy, it could be used for making chocolates, but it was perhaps made to make Kuih Bahulu, a Malaysian egg sponge mould, or possibly Moon cakes.
Whatever it may be used for it will look great as kitchen decor, on a shelf or hanging on a wall, perhaps alongside antique copper jelly moulds.
