Three industrial cast iron moulds

From a Wiltshire iron foundry these casting moulds would have been pressed into sand before their indentations were filled with molten iron to create various parts for motors and industrial machinery.

As decorative pieces with their bright colours and fascinating shapes which lead the mind to wonder what they would have made and what they were used for.

Away from the foundry they become abstract sculptural pieces of wall art. One could resemble a space rocket, another a magnifying glass with objects, another a sky of UFOs. You could see something completely different which is what makes abstracts fascinating.

Superb as a set mounted through their holes to one end, or mounting plates could be used to hang them from any angle.

The red moulds are both 56cm X 40.5cm X 10cm. The blue 52cm X 40.5cm X 10cm.
