Slim 1906 antique brass French artillery shell for repurposed decor, dried or artificial flowers, umbrella stand or fire implements stand

This large, French, antique brass empty artillery shell with its unique patina and warm golden glow makes a highly individual and distinctive piece of decor.

It can also be used as a planter or vase or to keep an umbrella or fireside implements in.

In a particularly tall and slim form, with its heavy base it is very sturdy and catches the sunlight and firelight beautifully.

These are always dated and other fabrication marks are also engraved into the base. This example is French (Issy, ie from the arms manufacturer at Issy-Les-Moulineaux) and was fabricated in 1906.

It looks splendid holding an artificial flower and could be put to a number of uses in the home.

As a piece of militaria or decor it stands alone as a bold and useful homely accent.

This shell measures 35cm high X 8.5cm in diameter at the base (7.5cm diameter at the top.)

Due to the fact this was a military shell it is not possible to send it abroad due to posting restrictions, but can be sent anywhere within the UK.
