Set of three vintage dolls heads mounted on stand
A collection of three hand-painted c.1950s and earlier dolls heads on a display stand.
Three beguiling vintage heads in different styles and presented as a one-of-a-kind display piece. Each with their different characters and charm.
The bespoke stand is made from a waxed piece of European timber with iron rods given two coats of owatrol oil to give the old iron a satin finish which is clean to the touch.
The largest head, in the centre is German, it a German-speaking country. The interior is lined with newspaper in that language and the is a ball on the end of the iron rod to protect the interior of the head.
The doll to the left is some kind of ceramic, perhaps plaster. She has no eyes. The hair and headpiece is one piece and the pole and wooden ball mount is stopped by it. The headpiece can of course be retied and styled any way you choose.
The blonde boy has a great look, with curly yellow hair and eyes that move.
The heads can be turned to face any direction. The heads will be packed carefully in their own boxes to be placed by the buyer on the stand.
The base measures 37cm X 11cm. 39cm tall to the top of the larger head, which measures 14cm tall X 11cm wide X 12cm deep.
