A wonderfully warm image of presumably a beloved and very elegant woman in the artist’s life, with wonderful red hair and white blouse against a yellow background.
This original vintage oil painting on canvas was created by a known artist who was born, lived, worked and died in Paris where the painting remained until last year.
There is a small chip in the paint to the right of the face and three narrow scratches to the top left, it’s hard to say how many decades these may have been present.
The painting is signed to the bottom right.
A unique and beautiful piece of early twentieth century portraiture.
