Midcentury Smith’s mantle clock – working well, serviced, with original movement
A British made Smith’s midcentury mantle clock.
This clock had been serviced and given a new mainspring.
A very attractive, stylish wind up vintage clock for the mantle, sideboard or desk, with beautifully chased brass wing pieces.
On an attractive shaped teak or dark walnut with an off-white face and Arabic numerals on the chapter ring in a very cool font.
The ring around the face and the hands are an attractive gold tone, and the hour hand is of the ultra stylish loop form.
This clock has been cleaned with glass cleaner and carefully had all the dust removed from behind the glass, then wood polished. The brass ring has been tirelessly brought back from dark brown to its original gleaming gold colour, as have the lovely wing pieces, to bring out their wonderful intricate foliate design.
It has a 24 hour movement. It has an audible tick-tock.
Measures 22.5cm X 15cm X 6cm.
