Midcentury Belgian ‘Kettle’ telephone RTT 56 – rrringing and working!

A wonderful working midcentury Belgian rotary dial bell telephone by the RTT company.

Known as the ‘Kettle’ telephone to collectors due to its unique shape’s similarity to the old fashioned stovetop kettles.

Beyond its unusual shape, another unique feature of this telephone is the carry handle for walking and talking – an early mobile telephone you could say…

This model, RTT 56 was built between 1956-66 and originally the body would have been black but this has been stripped back to reveal a matte metal body, making this an even rarer version.

This telephone has a modern UK wall fitting and has been tested and rings and accepts calls. Calling out from the phone wasn’t possible to test due to the type of landline connection I had available.

It measures 15cm wide X 14cm deep X 12.5cm tall (excluding the handle).

Ships worldwide.
