1940s black Bakelite telephone, GPO model 332 L
A gorgeous looking 20th design classic, this midcentury black Bakelite telephone with the traditional number dial and bells which can be heard when moved, these phones will immediately take you back or transport you to the middle of last century.
This GPO phone was produced in the early-mid 1940s.
Being that this couldn’t be tested it is sold as decor, but based on the aesthetic condition, presence and free ringing of the bells and the cables, it is likely they would be quite straightforward for someone in the know to make ready for modern day use with the correct connector. The original cable has been cut off at some point, and the dial spins around quickly. There is a small chip in the top left of the front dummy drawer in the base.
A fantastic looking telephone in great aesthetic condition.
The unit measures 19cm deep X 15cm wide X 15cm tall.
