Mansion Wax tin, c.1950s
Has your mansion started to look tired and lifeless?
The wonderfully named, aspirational ‘Mansion Polish’ was launched in 1912 in Chiswick, England and in wax form helped people attain a cleanliness and sheen on their furniture and floors.
Judging by the design this example was likely produced around the 1950s.
A great looking, very large tin, which had remnants of the wax in when sourced, has been cleaned and is now ready to store your items in.
Place on a high shelf for a pop of humour and colour, fill with (uncooked) rice on your worktop and use as kitchen knife storage, pop a plant on it, or just keep your little bits in it.
19cm tall X 17cm diameter.
