Large midcentury bread crate, repurposed as shelving

A large midcentury Jessops bakery bread crate, repurposed as a shelving unit with two moveable wooden shelves.

With two solid wooden shelves made to fit the width of the crate, which can be moved to any height and latched onto any horizontals by rotating the round brass curved latches situated under the corners of each shelf.

Great for books, plants, ornaments, a clock… food or mason jars in the kitchen, toothbrushes etc in the bathroom, this will look great anywhere if you like a slightly industrial look.

The steel has been given two coats of owatrol oil to prevent rusting, giving it a satin finish which solidifies the old metal finish and makes it wipe clean. The wooden shelves have been sanded smooth and given a matte finish hard wax oil produced and bought directly from Fiddes, a mile up the road.

This crate measures 76cm tall X 46cm wide X 18cm deep. The wooden shelves measure 44cm wide X 15cm deep.
