Antique 19th century rustic barn shelf from Charente, France
A wonderful antique 19th century rustic oak barn shelf.
This was bought from a farm in the Cognac region Charente in the mid-South West of France.
It is made up of two thick pieces of timber which have been screwed together in recent years, along with two uprights to help support it against the wall.
Heavy duty wall brackets or a cleat system would be advisable for wall mounting this heavy shelf.
The texture and look of this well aged piece with a great, rustic provenance is unique and will look as incredible in an old cottage or modern home.
