Early-mid century large parquetry Spanish wooden tray with brass handles

A Spanish early-midcentury large wooden tray with an intricate parquetry geometric inlay design.

The design is quite unique, with the inlaid diamond shapes repeating over the whole surface to the border in linear dark wood, with squares, diagonals and triangles in an array of fruit woods, oak and perhaps rosewood.

The surface shows light indentations in places from use over the decades, but no pieces of parquetry are chipped or missing, the entire piece is present and correct.

It would suit use for serving afternoon tea, cocktails and snacks or a full English breakfast.

It measures 64.5cm wide (71.5cm with handles) X 39cm deep X 2.5cm tall (6cm with handles).
