c.1950s oak storage box drawer with leather handle and buckle, for Warlingham Flute Band
A charming circa 1950s painted Oak storage box with leather carry handle and buckle closure.
To the front, hand painted in gold reads Warlingham Flute Band / Side drum marches. Presumably this was where that specific genre of side drum sheet music repertoire was kept.
The flashing blue paint to the top shows the age of the piece and gives it an attractive, worn and totally unique look.
It can be used in the office for stationery, for bathroom bits, for jewellery in the bedroom, or dried food or implements in the kitchen. Whatever you need, stylishly stored away.
The drawer is of hardboard construction. It has a lovely leather handle a buckle – yes, a buckle to close it, like a satchel.
The box measures 24cm wide X 31.5cm deep X 18cm tall.
