c.1930s large opaline glass pendant light shade with original brass gallery
A superb large c.1930s pendant opaline glass ceiling light shade with attractive original brass gallery.
A simple and classic Art Deco shape, with sloped sides and a curved edge to a large domed base.
All of the thick glass is in excellent condition, without marks, though as is so often the case with glass shades, there is a chip in the edge of the glass beneath where the gallery sits. So this is not visible when hanging, attached to the gallery.
This beautiful shade came out of a restaurant in South Wales.
As with all our vintage lighting, it is fully checked over for electrical safety, full functionality and compliance and then PAT tested.
A chain to hold the weight of the shade is present, along with the ceiling rose. A ceiling hook is required for this. Your electrician should be able to provide this when mounting.
Timeless style, this will look great for eternity!
The shade itself measures 35cm in diameter X 18cm in height. From the top of the brass loop to the lowest hanging part of the shade is approximately 33cm. The total drop from the top of the ceiling rose down is 83cm.
I have another matching pair, very similar but not identical to these, but a little larger with nickel galleries. Please contact me a deal on all three.
