From a collection called ‘Illustrations of the Family of Psittacidae, or Parrots’ (‘Lear, illustrations of the family of Psittacidæ 1832’) he painted during repeated long visits to the newly opened London Zoo’s Parrot House.

The picture has been professionally fitted, mounted and fitted in an early twentieth century wooden frame with its charming, original long string to the reverse and will arrive ready to hang on a screw.
