Beautiful aesthetic movement 19th century antique Walnut rocking chair
A divinely beautiful and curvaceous antique Walnut wood rocking chair, produced during the aesthetic movement of the late 19th century.

With long, sweeping arms which slope down into wonderfully sculpted legs before tailing back beneath. The warm, variated colour and grain of the agreed Walnut are just right.
The back has a pierced lyre form motif, and the runners are of sleigh type, the overall design voluptuous and decadent. The overstuffed seat is a pale pink buttoned fabric (one button to the back centre is missing). There are remnants of three small stains of darker outlines to the front of the chair (please zoom in on relevant photos. A close up is shown in a group photo) These are not easy to detect. A very small piece of the sculpted legs fronts has chipped off. You would need to be on your hands and knees to find this.
A beautiful and unique antique chair which would grace a living room or bedroom or favourite reading spot where the sunlight can reveal the beauty of its shape and wood with aplomb.
The chair measures 78cm tall X 52cm wide X 79cm deep at the base. The seat height is 41cm.

Shipping by courier arranged by us is to be paid by the buyer directly to the courier on delivery.
