Solid brass crimped drinks tray by Joseph Sankey and Sons

An elegant solid brass round drinks tray with unusual, attractive crimped edge.

Produced by Joseph Sankey and Sons of Wolverhampton, England, renowned makers of copper and brass wares from the later 19th century into the 20th.

This could easily be brought back to a gleaming copper colour but as patina can’t be put back on, it’s left in its current state for those like me who appreciate the age.

Beneath the patina is an embossed picture which appears to be a tavern scene with a Mann sitting and drinking. This could be revealed with a polish.

This elegant piece is great for plants, bathroom bits, jewellery on a sideboard or for drinks.

31cm diameter X 2cm.
