19th century glazed stoneware dairy bowl or pancheon
A 19th century dairy bowl originating from West Wales.
Originating from a farmhouse where it would have had many users in the kitchen which could have included skimming cream or beating butter, or as a mixing bowl.
Beyond its original use, these work beautifully now as fruit bowls, planters or decorative pieces, covered in unique markings from its hand fabrication and years of use and collecting marks.
This one has a simple ring decoration and a Liverpool cream-colour glazed interior.
This example is not as large as some, making it practical for any domestic table or sideboard.
36cm diameter at the top X 14cm tall.
