Antique overpainted wooden trunk

A wonderful antique pine storage trunk on casters.

With layers of paint which has worn, flaked and chipped in areas, giving a multitude of textures and numerous shades and marks, down to the wood in places. There are remnants of an old label, perhaps for shipping on the lid.

With a brass latch to close the lid, and a chain to the lid to prevent it falling fully back.

Makes a great coffee table with storage, or a side table with plants, storage for shoes, games anything you need but not in sight.
