1920s antique cabinet of 24 drawers with brass pulls and label holders

A superb looking set of 24 antique wood framed filing drawer cabinet from the 1920s, with brass pulls and label holders.

A fantastic image of worn grandeur, these 24 drawers will organise a collection, tidy and sort various craft supplies, stationery or perhaps something you want to divide by hours of the day? Great for those small bits you don’t want to get rid of but don’t want on view.

The labels are made from a stock of vintage paper I have from the first part of the twentieth century. They sit within incredibly attractive aged brass pulls and Art Nouveau influenced label holders. Some of the photos show the label holders without the labels if you prefer to remove them (they’d just need sliding out).

The drawers will fit A4 sized documents, however they are very slightly smaller length wise, 3mm. This means they will curve upwards a little. They comfortably fit in width.

The frame of the unit is pine wood, as are the layers between the drawers. The drawers themselves are a hard cardboard. The paper coating as can be seen in photos, has plenty of wear in places. There are tears in the top lips of some drawers, and some deep scratches to the top, easily made less noticeable with a plant or other objects. There is a large section of wear to the left side also. All this is shown in photos.

If you’re looking for a very smart piece in a very neat and tidy condition, you may want to look elsewhere but if you appreciate the great style of these drawers, loads of storage and a certain faded splendour, these are a triumph.

Measures 127.5cm wide X 23.5cm deep X 38.5cm tall. The internal drawer measurements are 29.4cm X 22cm X 4.5cm.
