1960s Metamec yellow electric wall clock, new twill cable and plug
A very stylish 1960s yellow Metamec electric wall clock with chrome bezel.
A yellow round clock face with the most fantastic minimal contrasting silver font.
This ~70 year old clock has been rewired with a new two core white fabric flex to complement the face.
The clock can have a tick on the second, or run silently. This is switchable to the reverse of the clock.
A new 3 pin UK plug has been fitted with a brand new fuse.
It has an integral hook to the reverse for hanging.
The time is adjusted with the small dial to the rear of the movement.
To start the clock, this type of movement requires a pull down and sudden release of the clock setting turning knob which protrudes from the base.
The cable comes out from the top of the clock. This is because the original two pin plug would’ve been plugged into a small socket at the top of the wall.
Made in England in the 1960s, this stylish piece has been given a new life and is ready to grace your walls for several more decades.
This clock measures 18.5cm in diameter. The cable is a generous 220cm metres, so long enough to drop to the floor and off to the side to be plugged in.
