1960s Georges Brassens merged with a cat, illustration in midcentury frame
A slightly surreal, large, framed and mounted 1970s illustration of the French folk singer Georges Brassens merged with his beloved cat.
The original, from which this is a print, is believed to be by basque artist Mattin-Laurent Partarrieu (b.1946).
A known adorer of his feline friends, the artist felt it appropriate to combine his face with that of a cat.
Perfect for the ‘cat dad’ or the fan of French chansonniers, or off-centre art.
This large print has been professionally mounted with a matte black mount in a glazed, midcentury solid wood frame.
Frame measures 73cm X 53cm X 4cm.
