1930s Sheffield steel sheep shears with sheath
A pair of sheep shears with their suede sheath.
Made in Sheffield and marked T. Turner & Co alongside Wilkinson, the gold standard for shears in the 19th and early 20th centuries which showed they were made to their exacting standards. The combination of marks dates then to 1932-39.
Apparently these are also great for clipping shrubs.
I have sharpened them a little. If you’re planning to use these they could take some more sharpening.
They measure 27cm X 8cm.
