1920s antique desktop document set of 4 filing drawers with brass pulls and label holders
A superb looking set of 4 dark green antique wooden filing drawers from the 1920s, with brass pulls and label holders.
Each drawer very comfortably fits A4 size sheets (please see photos, where the A4 paper is pushed to a back corner of the drawers) The interiors have patterns in their linings reminiscent of the marbled inside covers of books from the period.
The labels are made from a stock of vintage paper I have from the first part of the twentieth century.
In addition to documents, the drawers could be used for organising stationery, brushes, craft bits, or for tidying away all of the less attractive essentials we need close by but preferably out of sight.
The drawers are made from wood with a textured dark green/black paper coating, which is quite a common method during the period. The paper as can be seen in photos, has plenty of wear.
Another 4-drawer and a 6-drawer cabinet of the same type are also available in the shop, search the shop for ‘office drawers’ to find them. All three are shown together in the last photo ***only the one 4-drawer cabinet is sold with this listing***
