Antique French early 20th century wooden faux bamboo rectangular wall mirror
A wonderful antique French early 20th century wooden faux-bamboo framed wall mirror, with its original plate.
Typical of the Orient-inspired style favoured from the late 19th century and into the early 20th, the faux-bamboo shaped frame was a popular look in the period.
The original glass has some fantastic foxing up the right side, enough to show the originality and age of the mirror but not too much to obstruct the view.
Of good proportions as a hallway mirror, or great in the bathroom or the bedroom. It would also look great placed on a dressing table leaning against the wall.
It can of course be used horizontally or vertically to suit your space, but it is currently wired to hang vertically.
It measures 54cm X 43cm. The visible glass plate is 37.5cm X 26cm.
