An interesting piece; the beard, nose, mouth and jaw almost photorealistic, the eyes not quite aligned, one works perfectly without the other, but not quite together. The hair nicely portrayed but unfinished perhaps.

An original, vintage portrait with plenty of character. The are a couple of surface scratches to the suit and the obvious lifting of the background colour to the top corners.

In a vintage oak frame, it has a new string and wall protectors ready for hanging.
