Huge early – mid century brass jug
An very large old brass jug with a striking hooped handle and spout, of impressive scale.
Produced by Derverlea in Birmingham, England between the 1930s-50s.
This could be brought back to a gleaming golden colour all over but as patina can’t be put back on, it’s left in its current state for those like me who appreciate the age.
This piece is great for watering a large quantity of house plants or decor for the fireplace, shelf or sideboard, perhaps as a vase.
38.5cm tall to top of handle X 37cm deep handle to spout X 26cm maximum depth.
