An incredible looking Cretaceous period 120 million year old ammonite.
Split down the centre to expose the amazing internal patterns of the fossilised water-based cephalopod, these appear to follow the Fibonacci sequence or Golden Ratio like so many elements of the natural world, replicated in architecture, art, music and more.
It feels quite mind blowing to think you’re handling something that existed at the time of the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
This fossil measures approximately 15.5cm X 12.5cm X 3.5cm.
