1940s-1950s scrapbook collection of film stars and entertainers

A wonderful collection of newspaper and magazine clippings, mostly dating from the past war period of the mid to late 1940s and into the 1950s.

Lovingly cut out and pasted into a used early 1920s ‘Benefit Payment Book’ are dozens of images of film stars, musicians and other entertainers of the period.

There are also photographs, and a Star Souvenir magazine from 1940, along with many period advertisements and a cinema ticket for ‘Border Vigilantes’ at the Cardiff Odeon at 11am on Thursday November 6th.

So much wonderful entertainment history to pore over here, in a book compiled by a brother and sister, who both signed and addressed their names in the front of the book, more than 80 years ago.
