Early 1900s Holophane glass pendant light shade with vintage brass gallery
A very stylish smaller dome shaped ribbed glass Art Deco Holophane pendant ceiling light shade, from c.1900s, with attractive frill at the base.
A classic design which will look great in any setting, the patent for this shade is embossed on the upper rim dating to 1909.
The whole of this ceiling light shade is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips
Holophane is a well known period light shade company from France, where they make high quality, thick fluted or ribbed glass shades. Holophane is impressed along the top of the shade, a letter in each ridge, as is the word France as the country of manufacture. I have tried to show these in the collage of close up photos.
A vintage brass gallery is present. You can just replace your current light shade with this one, using the shade ring you are already using.
At the time of listing there are two very similar shades listed should you require more. Search ‘Holophane’ in the search bar at the top of the shop
The shade measures 14cm tall to the top of the gallery X 19.5cm at the base opening. The hole at the top for mounting on to your light fitting is 29mm diameter.
