Midcentury gooseneck lamp

A fantastically stylish, dramatically tapering 1960s white lamp in off-white, with an attractive and very useful long, brass gooseneck for directing the light exactly where it’s required.

Great as a desk lamp, or bedside reading lamp, the base is heavy enough that the neck can be bent backwards and the lamp remains stable.

It has been freshly rewired and earthed with 3 core gold coloured cable to match the gooseneck, and the plug given a new 3 amp fuse. It has also had a new push switch. It has then been PAT tested and bears the pass sticker on its plug (January 2026).

There are several small scratches here and there, as to be expected with a regularly used vintage item such as this which would have seen regular use throughout its half a century+ history.

Fully extended the lamp measures approximately 58cm tall. The shade measures 19cm long and 19cm in diameter at the opening X 3.5cm at the opposite end. The base is 15cm². The cable measures 209cm.
