West German 1960s/70s Scheurich Keramik Fat Lava plant pot
A medium-sized midcentury plant pot by the famous Bavarian maker Scheurich, West Germany from the 1960s/70s.
This superb and rare plant pot is in impeccable condition from top to bottom.
The excellent amber brown – green colourway becomes spellbinding as drips turn to cratered green lava.
The design number, as shown in the photo, is 700-1(6)? The last digit did not impress fully in production, but it’s presumed a ‘6’ as the numbers after the ‘/’ were the height to the nearest centimetre. ‘W. Germany’ is stamped beneath.
Included is the plastic interior raised piece to adjust the height of a smaller draining plastic plant pot within.
The dimensions are: 16cm tall, 17cm in diameter at the base, and the opening at the top is 18cm diameter.
