Victorian wooden carved duck sculpture
A beautiful Victorian era painted grandfather wooden duck.
In larger-than-life size, this beautiful antique piece has spent a good deal of its life outside and we can see decal layers of paint in a beautiful aged patina, including being blue at some stage. It also had a couple of areas of moss present.
A chunk of its lower body has rotted and come away.
A wonderful looking piece who deserves to be brought in from the cold and admired for its beauty and naive grandeur in its old age. Looks great on a chest of drawers or sideboard.
The duck measures 38cm beak to tail X 18cm wide X 22cm tall.
