Victorian scrub top pine farmhouse table with drawer

A great Victorian pine scrub top kitchen table with baluster turned legs and a large drawer with nicely contrasted dark knob.

The large pine top is in excellent, restored condition, with a few light knocks and scrapes as to be expected. The planks have been fixed back together after the shrinking of the ~150 year old wood had meant large gaps had formed. My restorer has cleaned out a large unsightly stain and refinished the top so that it’s ready for its next 150 years.

The drawer is perfect for cutlery and utensils. The turned legs are elegant in their simplicity, and have some attractive cracking in places. They are very sturdy and solid.

Scrub top tables would originally have been used as worktops are now, for food preparation, and as such this is quite wide.

This particular table came from a farmhouse near St. David’s, Pembrokeshire, West Wales. The smallest city in the UK.

The dimensions make this table able to seat six adults perfectly comfortably.

Measures 138cm long x 92cm wide x 74.5cm tall. The internal measurements of the drawer are 42cm deep X 37cm wide X 6.5cm deep.
