Spectacular 1960s Turnidge teak cocktail bar and drinks cabinet with accessories

An absolutely fantastic, large 1960s teak drinks bar and cocktail cabinet, which transforms from a compact storage unit and narrow sideboard, with supporting side walls and fold-out flaps to create a substantial serving bar.

With a base section to hold bottles securely, two shelves above, one with wipe-able glass base. The top has a new thick, curved toughened glass insert alongside the two flaps (topped with wipe-able Formica) that make the curved bar surface to make your cocktails on.

The contents can be accessed from both behind the bar and from the front via two locking doors. With upper and lower bolts and a key to lock the doors, your alcohol will be safe from small children, and the doors unable to fall open.

The insides of the doors reveal the original makers label, Turnidge a well known British furniture maker of the period, plus the original reflective steel serving tray, plus gold tone cocktail sticks, cocktail strainer, and citrus juicer.

The spectacular piece has been restored, with new glass cut and fitted and given a professional french polish all over. It still has some minor blemishes, the main ones are shown in the photos of the top surface.

A new, USB chargeable motion sensor strip light has been placed beneath the middle shelf. It is attached by magnetic pads so it can easily be removed to charge. Pads have also been placed beneath the lower shelf, if you’d prefer the light to be on your bottles. The light has several brightness and warmth modes you can switch between to find your preference. This will help you locate the glass or bottle you need without fumbling around in the dark. It is shown in photo #5.

The cabinet-bar is on castors so can be moved about relatively easily.

This is an eye catching, useful and fun piece of furniture to delight and entertain!
