Queen Anne revival Walnut wood dressing stool
A beautiful, if down at heel Walnut Queen Anne revival antique dressing stool.
With elegant cabriole legs decorated with carved shell motifs, and a drop in seat newly reupholstered in mustard yellow velvet fabric.
If you love elegant design, faded grandeur and need an occasional extra seat or somewhere for a tea tray or pile of magazines or books, this is a wonderful piece.
The cushioning is tired and not full beneath the new velvet however, and the veneer has broken away along many parts of the sides. A corner piece joining leg to end is missing. The joints have been mended and are not all tight, though they are now all fixed firmly and are stable.
Could also make a lovely piano stool.
53cm wide X 42cm deep X 47cm tall.
