Midcentury Danish style teak and steel round swing mirror by Durlston designs Ltd
A wonderfully simple minimalist midcentury steel and teak wood Danish style swing pedestal mirror.
An extremely stylish white powder coated mirror, with a sleek angled teak wood stalk and narrow aluminium two-pronged feet.
The style is very much of the Danish high end, but it was made during that period in the 1960s, by Durlston Designs Ltd of Hersham, Surrey.
Research suggests it was designed for the company by Owen F Thomas, perhaps alongside Robert Welch.
With tightening nut to the top of the stalk, the mirror will stay firmly angled to your favoured position.
A great vintage mirror with unfussy character and style, good in the bathroom or dressing table, with a nice small footprint this will go anywhere you need it.
The glass is in excellent condition, with an incredibly fine hairline scratch which is only visible looking down from above at an acute angle. There are a few small marks on the frame here and there.
36cm in diameter. The base measures 18cm².
