Hand painted 1930s wooden tray with black and gold birds and flowers
A truly beautiful hand painted black and gold decorative tray dating from circa 1930s.
With delightfully rendered birds and flowers in yellows, golds and oranges, the tray is a joy seen across the room but comes into its own close up, when the geometrically repeating petals and leaves, the naive edging.
There is clearly some paint missing (see close up photos) most noticeably on the right hand edge.
It could be wall-mounted or placed on a favourite sideboard or on a shelf.
