A strong vintage British style, with green rexine in great condition, original handle and latches, and to the exterior three hidden dials, at the right side. On/off – volume, treble and bass. The volume, should you require it can be immense.

This is a fantastic example of a British Bush record player with a fantastic full and warm sound, with a bass range which is particularly good for a unit of this size.

You may know Bush as an entry level producer of CD players etc in the ’90s, however, decades before they were bought up by a Japanese company, they were fantastic British audio engineering company producing top end equipment. This is streets ahead of any cheap modern “vintage” style copy, in sound and build quality they are incomparable.

Inside is a sprung Monarch deck, which vintage audio fans will be very familiar with. It plays at four speeds, 16, 33, 45 and 78 rpm. So it will play albums (33), singles (45), spoken word records which could be made to play at 16rpm and older bakelite record speed of 78rpm.

The deck is fully automatic, so you lay a record on the spindle and swing the holding arm across. Slide the selector across to Auto and the tone arm will move itself across to the position exactly above the start of the record and gently lower itself down onto the record to play. At the end of the record the arm will swing back to its cradle and the turntable will stop rotating.

Make sure you unclip the arm from its transportation clip first! Likewise, two screws atop the deck should be up for transport to lock the deck, and down for use which lifts the sprung deck for play.

You can even stack several records on top of one another and they will play one after another, Juke box style!

The record player can be played with the lid closed for tidyness and it’s handy to avoid drink spillages at parties! It sounds at its optimum in fact with the lid down, and acting as an acoustic chamber. The three control dials are still accessible to the right side with the lid shut.

*Full professional restoration and service
Unlike the vast majority of vintage record players you will find on Etsy or eBay, this has already been fully professionally restored and serviced. Output transistors, amplifier power transistors and all electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. Current setting pot
and cartridge replaced, auto-changer mechanism stripped and serviced, idler wheel refurbished, speaker cone connections repaired, and a general service given.

One of the four plastic feet on the side is missing, used only when transporting the player and standing it on its side. There are plenty of scratches and marks showing its more than half a century of age. Under the bright white lighting used for photographing the player, these are highlighted more than they would be under normal every day levels of lighting.

This great stylish, vintage all in one record player with its built in speaker arrives in perfect playing condition ready to play your favourite records.
